Nogales

Originally known as Rio Vista Ltd., Giumarra Nogales was formed in 1971, to centralize Giumarra's marketing efforts in Mexico.

From October through July, production in the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Sonora supply much of the consumer demand for grapes, melons, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash and a whole array of other vegetables.

Shipped under the Sta. Teresa, Nature's Partner® and Azteca brands, Giumarra Nogales' winter vegetables and fruits are harvested and packed on site by some of Mexico's leading farming operations.

Prior to crossing the U.S. border, all produce is graded, packed and then thoroughly pre-cooled in anticipation of the trip north. Our growers know that this post-harvest handling is crucial to maintaining premium quality.

When it arrives in Nogales, all produce is unloaded at our modern 50,000 square foot, forced-air-cooled facility at the Rio Rico Industrial Park. This warehouse also has 40 load capacity tomato ripening rooms. From this distribution center, Giumarra Nogales can assemble mixed loads for shipment anywhere the market demands.

This important link in the Giumarra family of companies faces a new and exciting future as more and more produce is grown, packed and shipped south of the border. As the North American Free Trade Agreement continues to open doors of opportunity between Mexico and the United States, Giumarra Nogales is poised to deliver.
