Giumarra's Escondido operation was launched in 1982, to give the company an on-the-ground center for avocado packing, quality control and marketing. Giumarra Escondido's 22,000 square-foot packing facility is located in San Diego's North County. This is an ideal climate for producing the world's finest avocados and citrus.

ARRAcado brand avocados are now marketed with the family of Nature's Partner^® growers and are packed and shipped from the Giumarra Escondido location. A modern packing and cooling facility was built in 1991. Computerized sizing technology is employed by a staff of dedicated employees to deliver uniform quality in every box of Nature's Partner^® avocados and citrus.

We partner with growers from California, Chile and Mexico to market avocados and citrus under the Nature's Partner^® brand. From December through September, we ship avocados from California. From August through February, we market avocados on behalf of Chilean growers, while from October through April we are able to supply customers with avocados from Mexico.

Our large-capacity ripening and cooling rooms enable Giumarra Escondido to handle very high volumes of avocados and citrus in the peak-shipping season.

To ensure quality from the tree to the retail shelf, Giumarra's Grove Management services provide technical and horticultural assistance at every level of the farming process. We know that quality begins on the tree, and therefore offer growers a complete horticultural advisory service to assist them in producing the finest avocados and citrus.
